True Story:
When grandpa Sam put on his sneakers yesterday, he didn’t have a clue it would be 24 hours before he would see his front door again. He grabbed his walking stick, his cell phone and went looking for his keys. The sky was blue, the air was cool; it was a perfect day for walking.
The phone only had two bars left. Probably good for a couple calls. He didn’t think anything about it, he intended to be gone for an hour; most days he walked for an hour around his neighborhood and never needed the phone. Until yesterday.
He called out to Rick across the street. Waved to Marge next door and headed briskly for the main road one block over. On the sidewalk he aimed for the Dollar General half a mile away.
Maybe he turned into a side street. Maybe he passed the Dollar general without paying attention. When he noticed the neighborhood beginning to look strange. He slowed his walk.
